The One Secret to Winning Most Cases
“If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” Mark Twain in 1894 For the past 36 years, I have used this quote when I’ve been preparing clients for depositions, getting them ready for trial, or meeting them for the first time to discuss their case. Today it’s still great advice because it holds the one secret you need to know to win most cases. Most people are honest and want to tell the truth. But sometimes in the course of litigation, they think they have to “exaggerate” or maybe even lie in order to prove or enhance their case. Nothing could be further from the truth. And Mark Twain’s words over 100years ago are just as true today.
